What is a CPU-hr.?
A CPU-hr. is the aggregate CPU time spent across all machines, rounded up to the nearest hour (e.g., a task running on 1,000 CPUs for one minute = 1,000 CPU minutes or approximately 17 CPU hours, costing you only $17).

- Robust, scalable state-of-the-art modeling technology
- Tailored for complex, large-scale modeling applications
- Productivity gains through rapid development environment
- Broad academic and commercial network - Over thirty years of experience in industry and academia
Description
The General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level algebraic modeling system for large-scale optimization. GAMS is especially useful for handling large, complex, one-of-a-kind problems which may require many revisions to establish an accurate model. The system models problems in a highly compact and natural way. The user can change the formulation quickly and easily, can change from one solver to another, and can even convert from linear to nonlinear with little trouble. The modeling and optimization framework is based on an open architecture, which allows seamless communication with built-in components (e.g. optimization solvers) and external systems. GAMS applications are fully portable across platforms, including 32/64-bit Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris. GAMS provides a one-of-a-kind solver portfolio with all major commercial and academic state-of-the-art solvers and also special solvers for stochastic and global optimization. GAMS' open architecture assures a smooth integration of optimization models into all kinds of application environments.
